The Federal Case: Gyamfi v. Becerra

In the matter of Gyamfi v. Becerra, the case is an Administrative claim filed at the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services. The case is based on the U.S. Supreme Court case in the matter of Gyamfi v. Brown addressing constitutional issues of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constituion. Whereas, this administrative claim will address the issue of 'Involuntary Servitude' violations under the 13th Amendment and Peonage Act. The defendant, the Honorable Xavier Becerra, is an American politician and attorney who served as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services in the administration of President Joe Biden. He was sworn in on March 18, 2021, becoming the first Latino to hold the position. Prior to his role as Secretary of Health and Human Services, Becerra served as the Attorney General of California from 2017 to 2021, and represented California's 34th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2017.
